Malaysia Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines have launched a code-share partnership, giving MAS access to the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa, the capital and largest city in Ethiopia. Ethiopian Airlines’ services from Addis Ababa to Kuala Lumpur and vice versa will carry the Malaysia Airlines flight code. The service will include a transit in Bangkok. Flights will depart Kuala Lumpur for Addis Ababa every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with a same day turnaround back to Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia Airlines’ group CEO Ahmad Jauhari said: “Through this partnership we can expand our reach in Africa without operating our own flights.”
