Mangala Boyagoda appointed to Hotels Corp. Board

Financial services industry expert Mangala Boyagoda has been appointed to the Board of Ceylon Hotels Corporation Plc.

Boyagoda is a senior banker possessing over 30 years experience in the field of financial services.

He currently serves as Chairman, Wealth Lanka Management Ltd., and Director South Asia Finance Fixed Investments Ltd., WealthTrust Securities Ltd., New World Securities Ltd., Asset Trust Management Ltd., PC House Ltd and Sierra Construction Ltd. He is a former CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, Colombo and former Managing Director/CEO of National Wealth Corporation Ltd.

He has also served as Consultant to the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, USAID, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the Securities and Exchange Commissions of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and served as a member of the Financial Reform Committee. He is also a former President of the FOREX Association of Sri Lanka. Boyagoda holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Irish International University (European Union), UK.

With the appointment of Boyagoda the Board of Directors of Hotels Corporation Plc comprises Lakshman Samarasinghe (Chairman), Sanjeev Gardiner, P. P. Maddumage, D. J. Aloysius, C.N.A. Nonis, E.K.I. de Zoysa, K.M.A. Godawatte, J. Perumal and E.M.M. Boyagoda.
