The godfather of modern cooking, three Michelin star celebrity chef and Judge of MasterChef Australia, Marco Pierre White is currently touring Sri Lanka courtesy of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts in collaboration with the British High Commission and flown courtesy of SriLankan Airlines from 18 to 31 January.
His tour includes visits to some of the most popular destinations in the country. The Kaudulla National Park was one such destination where he had an exhilarating experience on a jeep safari, accompanied by Chitral Jayatilake, Head of Nature Trails, the excursions arm of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts. This was followed by a most invigorating experience of seeing Sri Lanka by air, on board Cinnamon’s amphibious aircraft, Cinnamon Air.
The next day will see the legendary chef presenting a curated Gala British Dinner at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, which will be an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Colombo to engage with the Godfather of Modern Cooking over a meal designed to delight the senses at every turn.
When asked about his experience in Sri Lanka, Marco commented in one brief statement, “This is the most beautiful country I’ve been to.”
