Miss England finalists sizzle in the Sri Lankan sun

The beautiful hopefuls from all over the nation are in Sri Lankan capital Colombo for two weeks to complete the beach round of the coveted event. Previously, the contestants hit the beach in stylish swimwear to show why they deserve to take the title.

They were seen splashing around in the surf and showing off their incredible figures, and they were joined by reigning Miss England Elizabeth Grant.

Earlier this week the Miss England wannabes took part in a traditional catwalk contest, which included a charity ‘Eco Round’ where they strutted their stuff in sustainable fashion. The finalists met up with stunners taking part in Miss Premier Ceylon, a local competition for Sri Lankan catwalk queens. The winner of the Miss England title will join Miss Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to compete for the Miss World crown – and the chance to take home £78,000. Soon the contestants will fly back to Birmingham for the final at the Resorts World Hotel on July 14.

Last month it was revealed that a teenager who suffered from acne so debilitating she wouldn’t leave the house is now a beauty queen.

Emma Pollard, now 18, suffered for years with breakouts so extreme that she wouldn’t even to go to the corner shop without a full face of make-up on. She was crowned Miss Shropshire on June 4, gaining herself a place in the Miss England finals.
