In view of World Tourism Day 2014, Mount Lavinia Hotel staff together with the staff of the Railway station, neighbours, well-wishers and in-house guests conducted a Sharamadana on 27 September. The participants were involved in replanting, clearing of garbage, colour washing and making improvements to the Railway Station building.
