Mövenpick Hotel Colombo bags two awards at World Travel Awards 2017

World Travel Awards serves to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. The Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2017 was held on 8 July in the Republic of Maldives. 

Mövenpick Hotel Colombo bagged two major awards for ‘Sri Lanka’s Leading Hotel 2017’ and the ‘Best Presidential Suite’. The award was received by Markus Marti, General Manager of the hotel. Amongst the nominees for Sri Lanka’s Leading Hotel 2017 were the Taj Samudra, Hilton Colombo, Cinnamon Lakeside and Cinnamon Grand to name a few whilst the Best Presidential Suite category nominees alongside Mövenpick Hotel Colombo were Cinnamon Lakeside, Cinnamon Grand, Vivanta by Taj, Cantaloupe Levels, Mahaweli Reach and Casa Colombo.
