Mumtaz back in the saddle

Mumtaz Niyasdeen, a veteran travel and media personal with years of experience behind her, just back in Sri Lanka after a long duration in Malaysia, has joined as the Chief Operations Officer – Outbound at the NKAR Travels. Niyasdeen works at the helm in the Outbound Department, and plays a prominent and import role in the divisions handling both Airline Ticketing and Overseas Holidays. Niyasdeen holds an MBA from the University of Leicester – UK, and carries a wealth of knowledge and experience in the airline and travel industry in Sri Lanka and overseas. Whilst with SriLankan Airlines she spearheaded many projects achieving significant international media prominence and financial benefits to the organisation. Her career commenced with Air Lanka way in 1982 and then of course to SriLankan Airlines Corporate Communications, where she worked closely with the local media and international media. Followed by Dilmah (MJF Group) heading corporate communications and Hemtours Ltd., before she moved over to Malaysia with the family. Whilst in Malaysia she held the positions of General Manager, Paradise Travels & Tours Sdn Bhd and Chief Executive Officer of SGSMC Sdn BHD – all of this has progressively led her to what she is today.
