  • JKCS’ ‘Zhara HS’ hotel software recently touched base in Africa with the sign up of Safina Hotels and Apartments sited in Tanzania
Located in Dar Es Salaam, the largest, richest and regionally significant economic centre in Tanzania, Safina Hotel & Apartments sit amidst the most sought after accommodation providers in the country. Rated a complimenting 3.5+ on Trip advisor it has set its mark as a significant hub for both leisure and business travellers from across the globe. The property recently chose Sri Lankan originated Zhara Hospitality Suite designed and developed by JKCS as its designated hotel software. Subsequent to its recent achievement as the ‘National Best Quality Software’ in 2012, the Zhara Hospitality Suite is on a rapid ascension track in market acquisitions. The logos of over 25 well established local properties dwell on the pages of the Zhara clientele while overseas markets are now rising in the same. Empowered by its cloud platform which enables the suite to be present across the globe for a multitude of clients, with minimal assistance, JKCS is now focusing on Asia Pacific, Middle East and African markets as phase two of the market expansion initiative for the product. Facilitated by Aviconnections, the official Hospitality Software promotions partner for JKCS in Africa, the complete Zhara Hospitality Suite equipped with the Internet Booking Engine, The Central Reservation System and the Property Management System will be implemented at the hotel shortly. Omar Ndege (Managing Director – Aviconnections Africa) has been a catalyst in driving this achievement on behalf of JKCS inspired by his firm belief in the ability of the product to cater to the two main requirements of the African Market which entails cost efficiency and ease of use and implementation. While thanking Ndege for his unwavering commitment in establishing the presence of Zhara HS in Africa J.C. Ekanayake (Chief Operating Officer – JKCS) said: “JKCS touched Africa with its aviation solutions many years ago and is proud to stand as a trusted business partner for many an established organisation in the country with its IT solutions and services to date. With the inception of Zhara we envisioned a new era for hotel process automation and it’s an honour to serve Africa first in this new venture.” “The cloud based offering by Zhara HS I strongly believe is exactly what our country needs to elevate our tourism offerings with the parameters they have to work within such as cost efficiency and user friendliness. Contrary to popular belief in the world today on the success of cloud based software and its dependability, it is the next generation platform on which we can reach heights never before reached either through manual process management or in-house automation systems. Zhara with its capability of system access from any part of the world empowers ‘owner to waiter’ in a hotel operation controlling each aspect of the property tier-by-tier for maximum quality in service delivery. This I believe will pave the path for the success we envision for the African Hotel industry for the coming years,” added Ndege, expressing his views on the future of the product in the African market.
