Nuwara Eliya’s latest addition to its boutique hotel range is a quaint 13 room chalet that offers a wide variety of creature comforts to the discerning traveller. The Qantara Hotel which is within the municipal limits of the town is situated on a hill facing the race course. The new luxury boutique hotel provides a panoramic view of the Nuwara Eliya town with the majestic Piduruthalagala Mountain as a backdrop. The hotel is owned and managed by Global Life Style Lanka, a company dedicated towards providing green tourism as well as product solutions that reduce the carbon imprint on the environment. Hotel Qantara includes spa facilities and every luxury amenity for the discerning holidaymaker. Situated 10 minutes away from the Nuwara Eliya town on the Nuwara Eliya-Badulla road, the hotel is a stone’s throw from local town attractions such as the Victoria Park, trout streams and Lake Gregory, creating the perfect getaway from the pollution, noise and chaos of nine to five. With fine cuisine, prepared by experienced star class chefs, including Italian, Indian, Chinese and Sri Lankan, the hotel offers a la carte as well as set menus and the hotel is also ready to treat the guests with their preferred dishes any time of the day. The hotel’s beautifully laid out gardens, landscaped with minimal changes to the original land, was placed third at the annual gardening competition organised by the Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council, and audited by the Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya. The rocky garden also houses various varieties of cactus, which is a rarity in the cold climes of Nuwara Eliya.
