Nigel Barker, a multitalented personality who has become an international sensation as a photographer, TV show host, filmmaker and author, arrived at the Cinnamon Grand last afternoon along with his family for a short stay before he flies back to London, as he concludes his tour of Sri Lanka courtesy of Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts.

He will conduct a half-day workshop today about Sri Lanka’s fashion, photography and modelling industries while delving into the subject of inspiration at the hotel’s Oak Room.

At the workshop, he will share his story on his career’s progress, touching on topics such as The Business of Fashion – How Nigel Barker made it to the top and beyond, Models of Influence – What it takes to be a true supermodel from Nigel Barker’s New York Times bestselling book and the use of photography and film to make a difference in the world at large. Barker is the son of former Miss Sri Lanka, model Gillian Barker.
