Nine year old Tiara Kelly named Mihin Lanka Christmas Promotion winner

Mihin Lanka, Sri Lanka’s low cost carrier recently named the winner of the Christmas Promotion winner as nine year old Tiara Kelly, a year 5 student of Bishops College, Colombo. Tiara was presented with two return air tickets to Dubai as her prize by Mihin Lanka Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena, in the presence of Marketing Communications Manager Rangi Perera, Mihin Lanka Consultant Marketing Ingrid Guruge, Tiara’s mother Nadeera Kelly and Jude Benedict from TNL Lite. The Christmas Promotion which was held from 5 to 31 December 2013 on TNL Lite, asked listeners between the ages of 8 and 14 to SMS in what Christmas means to them, in order to win two return air tickets to Dubai. Tiara Kelly who SMS’d in ‘I think Christmas is that Jesus should be born in our hearts. Then we feel that it is a real Christmas with love and joy’ was adjudged the winner. “I learnt this from the chaplain at school during our nativity play,” commented Tiara.

Commenting on the promotion, Chandrasena said: “Christmas is a time for giving and this year’s promotion was aimed at giving back to children who enjoy this season the most. The winner walks away with two return air tickets to one of our most sought after destinations – Dubai.” “I am really happy that a promotion of this nature was carried out that called for the true meaning of Christmas.
