Patricia Wickramasinghe receives National Order of Merit

Jean Paul Monchau conferred the insignia of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Knight in the National Order of Merit) on Patricia Wickramasinghe On behalf of the President of the Republic of France, the Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka Jean Paul Monchau conferred on Patricia Wickramasinghe the insignia of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Knight in the National Order of Merit) on Friday 28 February. For the past 20 years, Wickramasinghe has lived in Sri Lanka she has constantly contributed to developing the relationship between France and Sri Lanka, especially in the field of tourism. Through her association Rebuild and Live, she has worked relentlessly to rebuild the country after the 2004 tsunami by raising funds to construct houses and schools. Wickramasinghe is the spouse of Chandra Wickramasinghe, Chairman/ Managing Director of Connaissance de Ceylan.
