Plateno to extend global lodging market leader position across Asia in 2016

Plateno Group as the leading hotel management company in Asia has signed over 30 hotel management contracts in under one year from its Asian regional headquarters in Indonesia, boosting the numbers of hotels and rooms to managed to more than 3,500 and 340,000 respectively with 18 brands covering the luxury, mid scale and budget segments.

Currently the hotels operating in Indonesia include 7 Days Premium Kuta Bali with the concept of ‘affordable’ (smart budget hotel), Zmax D Hotel Praya Lombok, a mid scale hotel designed for a growing generation of excitement-seeking travellers, and The Mirah Bogor in the process of being rebranded to James Joyce Coffetel and 7 Days Premium this midyear.

Besides Indonesia today Plateno Group also operates six other hotels spread across Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and the Maldives.

Plateno targets to open 25 more hotels ranging from two star hotels to luxury in 2016 across Asia with its pipeline of over 100 hotels in the region.

Plateno has chosen to introduce James Joyce Coffetel and Portofino brands in Indonesia this year so it will provide even greater diversity of hotel choice for Indonesia’s rapidly growing commercial and leisure market.

While we are excited to introduce our upper scale brands we are also expanding rapidly in the mid and economy sectors by opening more 7 Days Premium hotels in Korea, Australia and Jakarta by 2018 as well as four Maison Albar hotels

After major cities and countries Plateno’s goal is to increase its penetration in secondary and tertiary cities across the region, that are currently experiencing strong economic growth.
