Japan Airlines (JAL) and Qatar Airways (QR), both members of the oneworld airline alliance, have entered into a codeshare agreement.
The two airlines will commence codeshare flights from 3 December 2013 on QR-operated flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Doha as well as between Osaka (Kansai) and Doha.
Meanwhile, QR will place its flight indicator on JL-operated flights between Tokyo (Narita) and Sapporo (New Chitose), Fukuoka, and the flights from Tokyo (Haneda), Sapporo (New Chitose) to Osaka (Kansai), from Osaka (Itami) to Tokyo (Narita), from Nagoya (Chubu) to Tokyo (Narita) as well as from Tokyo (Narita) to Okinawa (Naha) in Japan.
The Middle East is one of the world’s fastest growing regions for air travel demand.
JAL’s new codeshare services on QR-operated flights from Japan to Doha will offer its customers more convenience of transiting to South Europe, Middle East and Africa.
