Qatar Airways to increase Bangkok flights to four daily

Qatar Airways is to increase its number of scheduled flights to Bangkok from three to four a day, effective 20 February 2013.

The additional daily service, taking frequency up to 28 non-stop flights a week, marks a significant rise in capacity on one of the airline’s busiest routes from its Doha hub.

All flights on the Doha-Bangkok route are operated with Qatar Airways’ flagship long-haul Boeing 777 aircraft offering a Business and Economy Class configuration and fully interactive audio and video personal entertainment system with a choice of over 1,000 program options.

“Our strategy has always been to serve popular routes with multi-frequency flights and Bangkok is an example,” said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer, Akbar Al Baker.

“Bangkok has proved to be an attractive route for us with increased passenger demand from key markets around the world. Now with the additional capacity being introduced early next year, we will be able to offer passengers more choice when deciding to plan their holidays or business trips. From Bangkok, travellers can have easy flight access to cities across Thailand, as well as to neighbouring countries, making it an ideal choice as the first stop for a holiday in South East Asia.”
