Qatar Airways to increase Perth capacity

Qatar Airways is to increase capacity to Perth with an aircraft upgrade to a Boeing 777-300. The capacity increase from a Boeing 777-200 to a 777-300 will bring a 30% increase in seats on the direct daily flights to Perth Airport, with the number of seats rising by 1,064 per week.

The increase in capacity will go into effect on 1 October 2014. Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said, “Qatar Airways was very pleased to be able to expand our operations in Australia by adding Perth to our network of destinations just two years ago. It has proven to be a very sound move as we have had great success with the route. And now, just two years later, we are already increasing our capacity to meet the needs of our Australian passengers who are extremely keen and avid travellers, with a great sense of adventure.
