Rohan appointed Executive Director at Trans Asia Hotels Plc

Rohan Karr has been appointed an Executive Director at Trans Asia Hotels Plc with effect from 1 May 2015. He is the Sector Head of the City Hotels

of John Keells Holdings and currently overlooks the management of the Cinnamon Grand, Cinnamon Lakeside and Cinnamon red. A career hotelier counting over three decades of experience both in the local and international hospitality industry, Karr held the position of General Manager at several hotels in the UK, serving lastly at the Marriott Marble Arch in London. He is a Director of Asian Hotels and Properties Plc as well. He read for his Masters in Hospitality and Business Studies from Thames Valley University, London. With the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Trans Asia Hotel Plc comprises S.C. Ratnayake (Chairman), Ronnie Peiris, N.L. Gooneratne (Alternative Director), Ajit Gunewardene, C.J.L. Pinto, E.H. Wijenaike, J.C. Ponniah and R.J. Karunarajah.
