S.T.A.R.S Awards at Taj Samudra

The annual S.T.A.R.S award ceremony – a special thanks and recognition system at Taj Samudra, Colombo – was held recently, headed by Area Director and General Manager Rohit Khosla. Three employees from the House Keeping and Security departments who obtained the highest scores from Guest Satisfaction surveys at Taj Samudra, Colombo were felicitated by the MD of Taj Group of Hotels in India recently. S.T.A.R.S is a way of rewarding achievement and exceptional performances by its employees within the TAJ Group of Hotels worldwide. The highest achievers will receive token of appreciation once a year in India. This year three employees – P. Sunil and K.S. Tennakoon from the Housekeeping department and M.A.N.J. Perera from the Sports Centre/Security Department – were felicitated by Area Director and General Manager Rohit Khosla. They were motivated and thrilled to receive the award and said they looked forward to assist the other staff of the Taj team to receive this award next year. The S.T.A.R.S committee comprises the General Manager, Training and Development Manager, Human Resource Manager and the Heads of Departments of Taj Samudra, Colombo.
