Singapore Airlines provided Business Class seating to the media for the Familiarisation Trip 2016 to Surabaya and Kota Batu in May, showcasing its excellence and turning travel into a pleasure with its impeccable service.

From the moment one steps up to the Singapore Airlines counter at the airport, the commitment to service excellence stands out, with every step of the journey with the airline just as delightful as the destination itself.

On-board a Singapore Airlines flight, it is easy to understand why it is the world’s most awarded airline. In fact it has won around 20 awards from January to April 2016 alone, with many more to its credit over the years.

SQ 467 operates services on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Customers can now enjoy more seamless connections through Singapore to a myriad of exciting destinations.

With the 10 times weekly service, customers will now have even more convince connections on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir to destinations such Singapore, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Africa, Japan, Korea, Australia, Philippines, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, etc.

Customers travelling with Singapore Airlines will also be able to redeem their Changi Dollar Voucher worth S$ 20 when transiting through Singapore Changi Airport. The voucher can be used at retail, food and service outlets at Changi Airport.

‘Deliciously Wholesome’ meals

Further enhancing the experience on-board is Singapore Airlines’ new programme that offers its customers ‘Deliciously Wholesome’ meals, catering to the needs of an increasing number of health-conscious travellers.

A delectable range of new gourmet dishes, including hearty salads, rich in nutrients, vitamins and essential minerals, are offered on Singapore Airlines flights as well as in SilverKris Lounges at Singapore’s Changi Airport. Some dishes have been specially created by the eight acclaimed chefs that make up the Airline’s International Culinary Panel.

The launch of the ‘Deliciously Wholesome’ programme is the result of an extensive meal development process, during which Singapore Airlines conducted focus group and food tasting sessions with frequent flyers.

The new ‘Deliciously Wholesome’ meals are designed to restore and rejuvenate the body, especially on long-haul flights. They are prepared using a wide variety of carefully-selected ingredients such as whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats, fish, seeds, nuts, herbs and spices. These foods are rich in macronutrients such as complex carbohydrates, lean protein, good fats, fibre and healing phytonutrients that nourish the body. The dishes also contain special active micronutrients which can help alleviate travel-induced stresses such as dehydration, fatigue and jetlag.
