Singapore sees a 46.3% rise in Indian tourists

Singapore (PTI) Indian travellers visiting Singapore increased by 46.3 per cent year-on-year to 73,000 in November, making it the fourth largest tourist generating market for the city state, authorities said today.

Singapore’s November tourist arrivals totalled 963,000, an increase of 16.1 per cent from a year ago, the city state’s tourism board said today.

India, along with Indonesia (176,000 visitors), Malaysia (100,000 visitors), China (94,000 visitors) and Australia (64,000 visitors), made up the top five tourist markets for Singapore.

The combined number of visitors from the five countries accounted for 53 per cent of the total tourist arrivals in Singapore in November.
