Ritz-Carlton plans to open six new hotels this year. The new properties are in Chengdu and Tianjin, (bringing the brand’s portfolio in China to 10); Almaty, Herzliya and Bangalore (marking the brand’s entry into Israel, Kazakhstan and India); and Aruba. “Each new project gives us an opportunity to create the best hotel within its environment that provides a true sense of place. Consideration is given to the market needs and how we can best create a hotel that will be a signature property within the group,” said Bill Barrie, The Ritz-Carlton’s Senior Vice President of Design and Project Management. The Ritz-Carlton brand aims to open an additional 30 hotels within the next three years.
