SLAITO congratulates new Govt.; hails inclusion of tourism in 5-point plan

The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) in a letter to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has extended its best wishes to the new Government and his re-election.

“We are pleased to confirm our unstinted support to you to carry forward the objective of making the tourism industry one of the top foreign exchange earners to the country,” stated the letter sent by SLAITO President Mahen Kariyawasan. 

“We also thank you for including Tourism in your five point plan to develop tourism mega zones in the south and Cultural Triangle areas and also to encourage high-spending tourists to visit Sri Lanka. We look forward to building upon the close relationship that we have maintained with you in the past and we reiterate our Commitment to you and the Government,” the letter to the Prime Minister added.
