The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and SriLankan Airlines carried out a MICE promotion with industry members in Singapore recently. The target audience was meeting planners, incentive houses and corporates in Singapore.
The promotion took place on 21 October at the Regent Singapore with one-to-one meetings and an evening interactive session.
Over 100 Singapore MICE buyers based in Singapore attended the event meeting with 10 industry members from Sri Lanka along with SLCB and SriLankan Airlines officials.
Most of the buyers have not marketed Sri Lanka as a venue for MICE activities, hence the need to create awareness and interest to choose Sri Lanka.
In presentations, SLCB and SriLankan Airlines established Sri Lanka’s case as to why Singaporean buyers should consider Sri Lanka as a venue to give their corporates a unique experience.
“This is also an opportunity for us to showcase the recent development in the country with new locations that have opened up for MICE activities,” said SLCB CEO Vipula Wanigasekera.
