SLCB, SriLankan MICE promotion reaps fruitful results

Following the initial MICE Tourism Road Show in Singapore and Malaysia, SLCB hosted a group of Buddhist incentive delegations from Malaysia which was led by Datuk Dr. Victor Wee, the President of Buddhist Gem Fellowship, Malaysia. He was formerly the Chairman of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and the Secretary General of Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia. He is also the Chairman of the Programme Committee of United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). Dr. Wee will continue to promote this segment of tourism from Malaysia in the coming months, supported by Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and SriLankan Airlines. SLCB General Manager Vipula Wanigasekera, when receiving and greeting them in Colombo, stressed on the importance of having a session of retreat during their tour, thus making the visit a spiritual program.
