Fulfilling the pledge made by SLCB to offer MICE training, especially in the area of incentive travel which deals with up market clientele, the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau carried out this month’s promotion for the Cultural Triangle hoteliers with the assistance of the Hotels Association in the area under the direct supervision of THASL.
General Manager of the Bureau Vipula Wanigasekera said: “We are now moving out of Colombo and to their doorstep to offer training to ensure the hoteliers recognise the special attributes required for MICE tourists who could increase the tourism revenue into the country. The training session in the Cultural Triangle was conducted by Michael Elais, Dharni Zosa, Upl Gamage, Achini Dandunnage and Iyroshi Jayawardena. The next program is scheduled in Kandy in August and we will continue with this program all over the country throughout this year.”
