Sri Lanka Pavilion shines in ITB Best Exhibitor Awards

The Sri Lanka Tourism National Pavilion has won the third place in the Best Exhibitor Award at the ITB 2013 concluded in Berlin last week.

The award was based on a competition organised by the Cologne Business School (CBS).

Awards under several categories were presented such as air services-carriers, Hotels, T ravel support & media, Travel organizations, NGOs and Destinations.

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) won the third place of the Best Exhibitor Award under Asia/Australia/Oceania at ITB Berlin 2013.

Korea came first followed by Indonesia.

The selection criteria for the award were Design, Activities, Services, Information material and first impression of the pavilion.

Organisers said Sri Lanka Pavilion was “Traditional manners , smiling people and best B 2B  by the tourism board.”

The award was received by Rumy Jauffer, Managing Director of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau whilst Sri Lanka’s Ambassador in Germany Sarrath Kongahage was also present.
