Sri Lanka stepped up its visibility at the world’s biggest travel fair ITB in Berlin last week.
As part of the promotion of the country, Sri Lanka held a media conference chaired by Tourism and Sports Minister Navin Dissanayake and heads of industry bodies from both the public and private sectors.
A spokesman for the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau said that the overall vibes towards Sri Lanka at ITB 2015 were very positive given the new Government’s policy of engaging with the West on a working relationship of strong governance, transparency, respecting human rights and most importantly equitable development. Minister Dissanayake elaborated on the new Government’s objectives and policies at the media conference.
