Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, along with the officials of Sri Lanka Port Authority, welcomed the vessel ‘Dawn Princess’ yesterday, at a brief ceremony held in the Colombo harbour.
This luxury carrier, owned by US company Princess Cruises, had more than 1800 tourists on board and consisted of tourists from Australia, New Zealand and the US. The local excursion tour operator Ceylon Roots was thereafter busy with taking tourists to prearranged destinations such as Kandy, Pinnawala, Galle and on the Colombo City Tour. The vessel left last night to its next destination in Mumbai.
