Sri Lanka wins ‘Best choice for Vacation’ Award at Jinhua Travel New Model Awards

Sri Lanka was awarded the ‘Best choice for Vacation’ along with another two destinations, Tahiti and Seychelles at the fourth Jinhua Travel New Model Awards Ceremony organised by The Travel Weekly of Jinhua News and Jinhua Net at Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel on 13 March. ‘New model within two months’ was the theme of the Awards Ceremony. Awards were based on the votes from the readers and comments from experts and journalists’ survey. Over 130 representatives from Foreign Tourism Bureaus, senior officials from Beijing Times and travel agents, online service providers, airlines and hotels witnessed the Awards for best travel agents, Best Brand Promotion and Best Travel Service Providers. 16 awards were presented at the ceremony. The travel experts of the media highlighted Sri Lanka as the best Choice for Vacation for the travellers who seek a mix of exotic charm and excitement. Sri Lanka Tourism received much attention at this event. Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy Shirani Ariyarathne received the award on behalf of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing.
