Sri Lanka’s sustainable tourism on show at ITB

EU-Switch Asia Program –Greening Sri Lanka Hotels Project Director Srilal Miththapala has been invited to the forthcoming ITB Trade Visitor Seminar to be held Berlin in March 2012, to present Sri Lanka’s Tourism Sustainability story once again.

This was following upon a successful presentation entitled ‘Sri Lanka towards a sustainable tourism destination’, at the World Travel Mart in UK last year.

ITB is the world’s largest tourism trade fair where world’s tourism professionals meet once a year to do business and discuss matters of interest regarding the industry.Miththapala has been championing the cause of sustainable tourism development in Sri Lanka, and has been in the forefront of showcasing the good work done by Sri Lankan Hotels in conserving energy and safe guarding the environment at local and international forums.
