Srilal to speak at Kerala Responsible Tourism Conference

Srilal Miththapala has been invited to be a guest speaker at the International Conference on Responsible Tourism, organized by the Department of Tourism of Kerala, at Kumarakom, Kerala India on 27th and 28th June. The theme of the conference is Responsible Tourism: Looking Back and Moving Ahead, and Srilal will be outlining Sri Lanka’s post war tourism development, and its move to be a more sustainable tourism destination. He will be presenting at the plenary session of the opening day of the conference. On the second day he will be moderating the session on Environment Responsibility. Since moving out of full time executive work, Srilal has been spear heading sustainability, and energy conservation, specifically in the tourism industry, working as the Project Director of the EU funded, The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce led, SWITCH ASIA PROGRAM Greening Sri Lanka Hotels Project.
