SriLankan now serves in Vavuniya

SriLankan Airlines, expanding its services into regions of the country, officially opened its new Sales Office in Vavuniya, providing people in the area the opportunity to transact directly with the airline in satisfying their diverse travel needs.

SriLankan Airlines Chief Marketing Officer G.T. Jeyaseelan together with Head of Worldwide Sales Lal Perera and Manager Sri Lanka and Maldives Saminda Perera declared open the new office last Thursday, 28 February.

SriLankan Airlines Chief Marketing Officer, G. T Jeyaseelan commenting at the opening ceremony said: “The intention of the national carrier is to serve the people of every region of our country. In this process we have recently opened offices in Jaffna and Gampaha adding to our already established network of offices in Kandy, Galle, Vennappuwa, Hambantota and now in Vavuniya.”

“Soon we will be opening our offices in Seeduwa, Batticaloa and Trincomalee which will establish our presence in almost every region of the country,” he added.

SriLankan Airlines Head of Worldwide Sales, Lal Perera said: “By placing our Passenger Service Offices in convenient locations, SriLankan Airlines has made life easier for the customers who have a variety of travel needs. This will not only save their time and money but also give them the chance to transact directly with SriLankan Airlines.”

The new regional branch office is expected to  serve a large clientele in the Vavuniya area providing them services such as reservations, ticketing, Prepaid Ticket Advices (PTAs), requests for special services, information on fares, schedules and packages.

The Vavuniya office would essentially offer its customers the same sales related services that are offered by any city office of the airline. SriLankan Airlines has appointed Atlas Lanka (pvt) Ltd as its Passenger Sales Agency (PSA) to spearhead the operation.

Apart from the senior management, the  ceremony was also attended by a large gathering including government officials, business partners and the customers of SriLankan.

The PSA Office will be manned by proficient staff and is located at No.60/8, 1st Cross Street, Vavuniya.
