SriLankan’s FlySmiLes partners Dialog to introduce NFC technology for easy mileage redemption

FlySmiLes, the Frequent Flyer Program of SriLankan Airlines, partners the telecommunication giant, Dialog Axiata to introduce Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in its FySmiLes cards for easy mileage redemption. The launch of these cards was held recently at Semondu Restaurant amidst a gathering of a few FlySmiLes Gold members.
Exclusively designed for FlySmiLes, the NFC enabled card allows members to instantly redeem their FlySmiLes miles with FlySmiLes partners by just tapping the card against a card reader. The feature, which will be initially available for all Gold members residing in Sri Lanka, will be extended to other tiers in the near future. The first partner to be included in the list was Semondu Restaurant, with the facility to be extended to all FlySmiLes partners in Sri Lanka which will allow the members to earn and redeem miles easily when interacting with them.
