St. Lachlan Hotel & Suites, in Negombo, managed and operated by Harpo’s Hotels & Resorts, was awarded the Certificate of Excellence 2012 by TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website.
St. Lachlan is a boutique hotel with 10 rooms and six suites, a restaurant with international fusion cuisine, a bar offering a range of beverages, a pool bar and a swimming pool.
TripAdvisor website posts travel information and rates independent guest reviews. This certificate is awarded to hospitality operators who have consistently received high ratings from their guests, which in turn reflects total guest satisfaction, based on what’s offered. By maintaining an overall high rating (max 5) the establishment is recognised for this Certificate of Excellence.
“It’s definitely an honour for St. Lachlan to receive the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, which is one of the world’s largest travel websites, within a short period of one year in operation. I commend my team at St. Lachlan who has excelled in their work, which has recorded consistent high rating from our guests who enjoyed our hospitality. Online reviews guide other guests to decide on their stay and the guest ratings are an integral part of the global marketing concept,” said Harpo Gooneratne, MD of Harpo’s Hotels & Resorts.
St. Lachlan Hotel & Suites is the first boutique hotel managed and operated by Harpo’s Hotels & Resorts, which recently took over management of Heaven Seven, a 11-room, brand new luxury hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Harpo’s Hotels & Resorts also manages the well-known chain of restaurants, The Bay Leaf, Park Street Mews, The Commons & Colombo Fort cafe and its home-grown pizza brand Harpo’s Pizza.
