Students of Harpo’s School of Tourism & Hospitality (Galle Branch) receive certificates

The most recent batch of students who completed the certificate program in F&B service and culinary arts received their certificates from MD Harpo Gooneratne. Harpo’s Hotel school Galle, is an extended satellite branch of Harpo’s School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. “Realising the urgent need for skilled workers with competencies and knowledge in F&B and culinary arts, this foundation certificate provides them with the necessary skills to start their career in the hotel industry and also paves the way for them to continue their education. The students live in Galle and its suburbs and some of them are already employed in star class hotels in the area, which is very encouraging,” Harpo commented. The students also have the opportunity to gain their industrial training in Harpo’s group of restaurants. For those who wish to pursue higher education have the option to receive an international certification from City & Guilds - UK and for those candidates who are looking to obtain a Diploma in Hospitality Management, the school has already the advantage in offering the Princeton Hotel Management Diploma from Australia. Students: Culinary Arts Certificate: H.K.L. Padmakumara, K.G.K. Krishan, M.H.N. Sandaruwan and D.S. Dilshan. F&B Service Certificates: U.L. Kasun Tharaka, M.N.M. Rifaz, M.N.M. Sharafan, P.H.P. Kumara and K.P. Buddika.
