One of the key aspects of the ongoing EU SWITCH-Asia Greening Sri Lanka Hotels Project is to publicise the good work done by Sri Lankan hotels internationally, towards energy and environmental conservation.
As a part of this program, European Union funded Greening Sri Lanka Hotels Project is fully sponsoring Randholee Resort – Kandy, Thambapanni Retreat and Nooit Gedacht Heritage Hotel – Unawatuna and Green Grass Hotel – Jaffna, who have performed well from 282 registered hotels, to attend World Travel Market (WTM) 2012 in the UK, the leading global event for the travel industry.
The project, implemented by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, will give the opportunity for these selected hotels to meet the global travel trade, network, negotiate and conduct business and also gain competitive advantage for their business and stay abreast with the latest developments in the travel and tourism industry, while showcasing the good work done to the visitors of the exhibition.
The program will provide publicity (during the event in the UK) and enhance the status of Sri Lanka Tourism as a more Sustainable Tourist Destination.
