Taj GM appointed President of SKAL International Sri Lanka Chapter

SKAL Colombo was formed on 11 June 1954 and since then SKAL Colombo has been an active Club within the SKAL International network. SKAL International Sri Lanka Chapter appointed Rohit Khosla, Area Director and General Manager of Taj Samudra Colombo, as the President of the chapter for the year 2014-2015.

It is the first time in recent history that an expatriate has been appointed to this distinguished position. It was a unanimous decision by the Committee and the members, considering the commitment and contribution of Khosla to the travel and tourism industry, since taking up his appointment in Sri Lanka. Khosla is a senior hotelier with experience in heading operations for some of the finest international hotel chains such as Hyatt and the Taj group of hotels, in India and in other international destinations. With the dramatic changes he has made at the Taj Samudra, he is taking the hotel to new heights by offering international service standards, and the SKAL Chapter felt that it is appropriate for Khosla to take the role of the President of SKAL, in the Sri Lanka Chapter. SKAL celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Khosla will be ably supported by the Vice President Dushy Jayaweera, the Director and General Manager for Hemas Air Services.
