Sri Lanka’s most celebrated beach resort The Fortress Resort & Spa begins the New Year with a special spread of accolades. The respected travel portal The Trip Advisor recently ranked The Fortress in the Top Hotels, Romance & Top Luxury Hotel categories simultaneously placing it a cut above the rest.
With millions of authentic traveller experiences as its driving force, Trip Advisor’s nominations for recognition are considered as travellers’ choices which bestowed a Certificate of Excellence to the Fortress for its show-stopping facets as a truly international beach resort.
In the wake of several other international awards for the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 The Fortress was named as the No.1 among the best 25 hotels in Sri Lanka. Trip Advisor’s accolades for the Fortress didn’t end there as the up-scale resort on the southern beaches won three travellers’ choice awards in the categories of Service, Luxury Hotels and Top Hotels, further affirming The Fortress as a leading light in Sri Lankan tourism. The Fortress was recently crowned as Sri Lanka’s best luxury hotel by the Business Destinations Travel Awards.
