Theme Resorts & Spas appoints new Regional GM

Theme Resorts & Spas Ltd. announced the appointment of a New Regional General Manager for its properties Aliya Resort & Spa Sigiriya, Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa Passikudah and Mountbatten Bungalow Kandy. Sujeeva Basnayaka who was serving as Resort Manager for Aliya Resort & Spa Sigiriya has been entrusted with new responsibilities as regional General Manager. An old boy of Trinity College Kandy, Sujeeva has been a part of the hospitality industry of Sri Lanka for the past 23 years, in capacities such as resident manager, operations manager and project manager. He is a Graduate of the Ceylon Hotel School and the School of Tourism Sri Lanka. A member of the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association (CHSGA), Sujeeva has also served as an executive committee member of CHSGA and the Negombo region representative for the association. Theme Resorts & Spas owns and manages some of Sri Lanka’s finest resorts, offering new concepts and experiences to the hospitality industry of the country.
