Singapore Airlines Sri Lanka recognised its top performers at an awards ceremony, which was held at The Victorian, The Kingsbury Colombo recently. The event saw many of the leading travel management organisations being rewarded for their valued contributions.
George Steuarts Travels International Ltd. was recognised as the Top Agent and was awarded the Gold award, followed by Mackinnons American Express Travels winning Silver and Classic Travels receiving the Bronze award. Merit awards were presented to Gabo Travels, Hemas Travels, Worldlink Travels, The Traveller Global Ltd., BOC Travels, 2nd Chance Travels and Shan Holidays.
This event was held not only to felicitate SIA’s top performing agents but also to bid farewell to Aldrin Arumugam SIA’s General Manager Sri Lanka who was relinquishing his post after two years in the country and to welcome his successor Jimmy Lee.
Speaking at the event Arumugam, thanked all trade partners for their invaluable support during his tenure in Sri Lanka and requested that similar support be extended to Lee. Aitken Spence Aviation Ltd. Managing Director Keethi Jayaweera, General Sales Agents for Singapore Airlines in Sri Lanka reiterated the importance of a strong and mutually beneficial relationship between Singapore Airlines and Aitken Spence which has resulted in the world’s most awarded airline offering its products in Sri Lanka for over 42 years.
