New distribution partnership with Travel Boutique Online, Asia’s leading B2B travel aggregator, will give travel agencies unparalleled search, shopping and booking capabilities on a range of hotel content
Sri Lanka and Maldives markets will enjoy the booking functions
Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, announces the launch of a breakthrough solution for travel agencies in Asia Pacific. Amadeus Hotels Plus (Multisource) is a one-stop-shop search platform integrating Amadeus’ GDS hotel properties with content from leading hotel aggregators to allow Amadeus travel agents to search and book hotel content from multiple sources in a single screen.
Hotel booking processes at travel agencies are rarely standardised across points of sale, with travel agencies shopping for rates across a variety of channels, both GDS and third party websites, and even double checking directly with hotels, which wastes both time and money when researching and making bookings, as well as with the paperwork and data consolidation afterwards.
Travel agencies using Amadeus Hotels Plus (Multisource) in Sri Lanka and Maldives will now be able to access combined ‘multi-source’ content displays with the ability to pre-pay, confirm bookings, issue vouchers and receive commissions instantly at the point of sale and facilitate the booking process.
Amadeus is also pleased to announce a full content partnership with Travel Boutique Online India, which will ensure Amadeus Hotels Plus (Multisource) customers will benefit from access to a wide range of South Asian hotel content in addition to the extensive hotel content on offer.
“As South Asia’s leading travel consolidator of hotel content, we’re always looking for innovative solutions that help our hotel customers maximise revenues and help us stay ahead in the industry,” said Travel Boutique Online Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Gaurav Bhatnagar. “Amadeus provides us with a unique opportunity to instantly promote new offers to a truly global and diverse business-to-business (B2B) customer base, drive more conversion from the B2B segment and boost room sales for our hotel customers.”
Amadeus Asia Pacific Head of Hotel Distribution Kartikeya Tripathi added, “Changing consumer behaviour and enabling easier access to direct hotel content is creating both challenges and opportunities for our travel agency and hotel partners which is exactly what this new solution addresses.
Aggregators such as Destinations of the World, Transhotel, and HRS are already in the platform providing access to rates and pricing from 300,000 hotel properties worldwide.”
Amadeus India CEO Rakesh Bansal added, “This solution will enable our travel trade partners to search, shop and book on a range of Amadeus hotel properties from multiple sources in a single screen.
At Amadeus we are constantly envisioning new solutions for our partners to provide their businesses a wider outreach.
South Asia is becoming one of the most preferred destinations both for business and leisure travellers and with this solution both our travel trade partners and hotel partners will be able to provide easier access to all information to their customers.”
Amadeus Hotels Plus (Multisource) is now available in India, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia. The solution will be introduced in other Asia Pacific markets in the coming months.
