As an American Express card member, you can now enjoy the convenience of reserving and paying for your SriLankan Airlines air ticket over a phone call. Simply call 1979 to book your air tickets to your next travel destination.

Commenting on this partnership, Mohamed Fazeel – Head of Commercial Operations, SriLankan Airlines said, “SriLankan is consistently shaping its product to add quality and convenience, harmonising with the lifestyle of the modern day traveller. In this effort, SriLankan is pleased to have introduced the ‘Interactive Voice Response’ system commonly known as the IVR system in collaboration with Nations Trust Bank, at our global call centre.”

Priyantha Talwatte, Deputy General Manager – American Express Cards at Nations Trust Bank added, “We are delighted to offer our card members absolute convenience whenever they wish to travel. With the IVR system in place, card members simply need to dial 1979 to book and pay for their Sri Lankan Airlines tickets instantly using their American Express credit cards at their convenience any time of the day, all year round.”
