TripAdvisor votes Fortress Resort and Spa best hotel in Sri Lanka

The acclaimed Fortress Resort and Spa in Koggala, continues to shine on the international scene bagging a host of new awards including affirmation as Sri Lanka’s best hotel.  

Trip Advisor is the world’s most influential travel portal in its annual awards crowned the plush Fortress as the first of the best 25 hotels in Sri Lanka, in a race that sees the Southern jewel outshining a host of renowned names.

Trip Advisor prides itself as the world’s largest travel community, with more than 32 million members and over 75 million reviews and opinions of hotels, resorts and tourist attractions.  

Founded in the year 2000, the Trip Advisor thrives on user-generated content and offers travellers around the world information that would shape their travel decisions.

“The Fortress is fairly new on the travel scene but the continuous accolades are testimony the passion and pride of the Fortress team in propelling the hotel to the top of the leader board.

The Fortress’ packed trophy cabinet includes previous awards as the world’s best luxury coastal hotel and the luxury coastal hotel in Sri Lanka, both at the World Luxury Hotel Awards.

The resort also continues to attract the attention of the World Travel Awards with multiple nominations in the recent past.
