Triple win for Club Hotel Dolphin

Serendib Leisure Management, a member of Hemas Holdings announced that Club Hotel Dolphin has won back-to-back awards concluding a very successful 2015. 

The hotel has been recognised in the ‘Top Hotels’ category of the 2016 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awards for Hotels, where the Top 25 hotels in each country are selected and recognised. For the 14th year, TripAdvisor has highlighted the world’s top properties based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected from travellers around the globe. Winners were identified in the categories of Top Hotels, Bargain, B&B’s and Inns, Luxury, Service and Small Hotels. The hallmarks of Travellers’ Choice winners are remarkable service, quality and value. This is the fourth consecutive year the hotel has won this prestigious award.

In addition, ‘HolidayCheck’ – the largest German opinion portal for travellers presented Club Hotel Dolphin the prestigious HolidayCheck Award 2016 with a recommendation rate of 96% and 5 ‘Suns’. This is the second consecutive year that HolidayCheck has recognised the stellar customer service provided by Club Hotel Dolphin. All winners need to undergo a stringent selection process – a hotel must have collected at least 50 reviews from its guests in the year under consideration and must have been recommended by at least 90% of its former guests. Another tough hurdle that the hotels have to face are the HolidayCheck ‘Suns’, which holidaymakers use when reviewing hotel details like the room, location, surroundings, service and restaurant facilities. The scale ranges from a minimum of 1 (poor) to a maximum of 6 (very good); potential Award hotels must have achieved at least 5 ‘Suns’. 

A third accolade was awarded by the TUI Group – the largest leisure, travel and tourism company in the world, with the TUI Top Quality Award 2016. The Top Quality accolade is awarded to a select group of 250 hotels worldwide that achieves a guest satisfaction rating of 8.7 or more on a scale from 0 to 10.

Club Hotel Dolphin is an iconic resort located in Waikkal, a mere 50 km from Colombo. Club Hotel Dolphin offers 154 rooms, villas and suites, five restaurants and five bars and a host of family friendly activities including a dedicated kids club, an amphitheatre, disco, karaoke, two freshwater swimming pools, a children’s pool and other indoor and outdoor activities.
