Turkish Airlines adds Boston as sixth US destination

With existing services to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, Turkish Airlines adds flights to Boston as its 9th destination in the Americas. Beginning today, Boston flights will be operated five times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in both directions. Beginning from 9 June, flights between the two cities will be increased to seven times weekly with the addition of Tuesday and Thursday flights. Introductory round trip fares are available from Istanbul to Boston starting at 399 euros (including taxes and fees) and from Boston to Istanbul 799 dollars (including taxes and fees). Additionally, for the first six months of operations to new destinations, there is a special offer for Miles&Smiles members, with a 25% reduction in the miles needed to redeem either award tickets or upgrades. Established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines is a 4-star airline today with a fleet of 249 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 249 destinations worldwide with 206 international and 43 domestic. According to Skytrax survey of 2013, Turkish Airlines was chosen ‘Europe’s Best Airline’ for the third and ‘Best Airline in Southern Europe’ for the fourth consecutive time. Having won in 2010 the world’s ‘Best Economy Catering Service’ award, Turkish Airlines was this year awarded the world’s ‘Best Business Catering Service’ prize in the Skytrax survey.
