Turning five

Cinnamon Grand celebrated its fifth year anniversary on the 26th of November with a religious ceremony conducted in the Oak Room with the participation of the management and staff.

Representatives from the four main faiths bestowed their blessings and prayers upon the hotel and its staff. General Manager Rohan Karr also cut a five tier birthday cake that symbolized the hotel’s five years of operation under the Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts brand. Conceptualized as an indigenous brand, the Cinnamon Grand was the flagship hotel of the Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts brand. In its five years of operation the hotel has been endorsed as the preferred city hotel by both its stakeholders and customers. The hotel has seen unprecedented success with three consecutive Presidential Awards for the Best Five Star City Hotel and the coveted Hall of Fame award at Sri Lanka’s Travel and Tourism Presidential Awards.
