Geneva Sound Systems installed in all villas
Ulagalla the luxury resort by Uga Escapes located in the Anuradhapura District, recently upgraded its in-room entertainment system to the highly renowned Geneva Sound System, known to be one of the most advanced in the world.
The Geneva Sound System model installed in all villas at Ulagalla is known as Model M. Crafted in a single cabinet that is made out of piano-lacquered wood, the Model M is a complete bookshelf-sized stereo system that houses two separate Hi-Fi speakers and uses patented technology to deliver true stereo imaging. Despite its compact size, the powerful digital amplifier of the Model M ensures that it gives listeners an audio performance that can compete with much larger conventional Hi-Fi systems. The compact cabinet, that is not even 20cm high, boasts of many functions including an iPod/iPhone Universal Dock, a digital radio tuner with presets and a line-in jack. Each speaker is individually powered and chambered for accurate acoustics. Leading reviewers call it the easiest multi-function stereo ever.
Speaking about the latest development, Uga Escapes Managing Director Priyanjith Weerasooriya stated: “At Uga Escapes, we are constantly on the lookout for ways to improve our guests’ experience during their stay. This investment of installing a world-class audio system will bring audio indulgence of the highest level into our hotels for the listening pleasure of all our guests.”
He added that the most convenient aspect of this system is that it is wireless. “This means that guests can wirelessly connect to the system and listen to their favourite music from any part of our spacious villas at Ulagalla. That is not all; we have also added a pre-loaded iPod Mini to each villa to further enhance their listening experience.”
In a recent “best ever docks” test against products from some of the biggest names in the history of Hi-Fi, the Geneva Model M was judged the winner by one of the world’s leading audiophile publications, What Hi-Fi?, which said, “It certainly looks great. The lacquer finish gives the Model M a sense of luxury. The real story of this Geneva Model M is simply the stunning sound quality. Sonically it sets a new benchmark.”
Globally-acclaimed Geneva audio systems have received glowing reviews from several leading tech magazines and websites. “What Hi-Fi?” has called Geneva Sound Systems, “sonically peerless and the purist’s choice”, CNET praised its “great design” while Dwell claimed that it “blew away the competition”. Other positive reviews came from sources such as Robb Report that stated that it looked “more like a modern art piece” and from Apartment Theory claimed it merged “a knowing aesthetic eye for detail”.
Hidden away in the quiet village of Thirappane in the Anuradhapura district, blending perfectly with the surrounds, Ulagalla offers every comfort and facility of luxurious urban living to their guests. 20 luxurious villas – each with its own private plunge pool; offer spacious comforts with all the modern amenities.
