Visiting Cardinal steps into Laksala

On a recent visit to Sri Lanka from Rome, Cardinal Raymond Burke dropped in at Laksala’s flagship showroom in Thummulla along with Sri Lanka’s Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.

Laksala is greatly honoured by the visit of His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke Vatican City, Rome and His Eminence Cardinal Malcom Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo, to its flagship showroom in Thummulla. His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke was delighted to view the craft items manufactured by our rural craftsmen and to learn of the values of Laksala.

Where Laksala believes in improving the lives of Craft Entrepreneurs not through charity or handouts but by improving the design and quality of their products and thereby giving them a fair and sustainable price and supporting their income and their community through economic development.
