Warm welcome for The Maldives President at Ceylon Continental The Maldives President Moha

med Nasheed received a warm welcome from the Ceylon Continental Hotel Colombo, when he arrived in the island on an official tour of Sri Lanka. The visiting President arrived in the country on a two-day official visit. Accompanying him on this tour are Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahamed Nazeem, Member of Parliament Maria Ahamed Didi and other dignitaries.

 The President of The Maldives and other Government officials in the delegation received a grand welcome from Head of Ceylon Continental Hotel Kamal Munasinghe. Munasinghe noted that it was an honour to host a visiting Head of State and his officials at the Ceylon Continental Hotel, adding that all security and other measures were in place to ensure their safe and comfortable stay during the two-day visit in the country. The visiting President and his delegation were garlanded upon their arrival and led into the hotel by a procession of drummers and Kandyan dancers.
