To mark World Tourism Day 2012 a seminar for hoteliers and restaurant operators in the Kurunegala District on Tourism and Sustainable Energy, Powering Sustainable Development will be held at the Ranweli Holiday Village, Waikkal on 21 September channelled through Sri Lanka Tourism.
All top level managers, travel agents and tourist guide lecturers will be invited by the Wayamba Development Authority’s Tourism Sector to acclimatise them on how to save energy by using the minimum distributed by the national grid.
With power and energy being the most discussed topic in the country, the seminar will identify and deliver lectures on the importance of all aspects in empowering the hotels to switch from national grid to methods of minimising the usage of power.
The seminar will have four lectures in all and there will be a field visit for the participants by courtesy of Ranweli Holiday Village management.
